The resort area Uzana is a huge meadow, standing at 1420 meters altitude, at the foot of the Ispolin summit in the
Balkan range. It is located 20 km away from Gabrovo and is declared the geographical center of Bulgaria.
The fresh mountain air and the nature in Uzana are magnificent. Uzana is a starting point to many tourist routes,
including the Mazalat chalet, the Ispolin and Shipka summits, etc.

In the summer the resort area offers excellent conditions for horse riding and relaxation. The forests are full
of mushrooms and wild forest fruits, herbals and seldom flower species cover the meadows.

In the winter Uzana offers excellent conditions for winter sports. There are several small ski tracks and a
bigger 1200 m long one. There are a ski wardrobe and a tea- room near the ski track where tourist can rest and
enjoy the beautiful nature and fresh air. Among the attractions are taking a walk with horse team and driving motor
sledge.

There is regular bus transport to Gabrovo.

Several hotels, holiday houses and chalets offer good opportunities for rest.
