Whether heading east from Karlovo you see vineyards, tabacco plants or roses depends on the season, but whatever time of year you will pass some of the greatest peaks in the Balkans. Kalofer, nestled in a lovely valley and cut through by the river Tundzha, it is truely a beautiful place.
