Two Applications Filed for Bansko Gas Distribution Permit
Published on: 28/03/2007Local companies Overgas Inc. and Pirin Power have applied
to be licensed to deploy a gas distribution network in the ski resort of
Bansko, the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission said on Tuesday, March
6.
Pirin Power is 50%-owned by
power engineering company Enemona. Overgas Inc. has been granted over 20 gas
distribution licences so far in various parts of the country.
The regulator did not commit to a timeframe for the
selection of the Bansko gas distributor.
The winner of the permit will have to install 40km of gas
pipes between Simitli town and Bansko.
As an alternative option,
Overgas Inc. has proposed to build a compressor station in Similti which will
pipe compressed natural gas directly to Bansko resort.
