Polska Skakavitsa Waterfall

The waterfall of Polska skakavitsa is situated in the Zemen Mountain,
not far away from the town of Zemen and the village of Razhdavitsa. It
stands at 700 m altitude and is 80 km away from the Bulgarian capital
Sofia and 60 km away from the town of Pernik.
A rivulet, passing through the village of Polska skakavitsa (situated
on a rock massif) falls with 50 m of height and forms a shallow but a
splendid waterfall. There are numerous holes in the rocks and the whole
area is overgrown in verdure.
Situated in the magnificent Zemen’s defile, the waterfall is one of the most impressive in Bulgaria.
Tourists can reach it by train through the Skakavitsa station and by car through the village of Razhdavitsa.
